Tailored For You was founded in 2008 by Managing Director Lynette Morrison when she found it impossible to buy good quality suits to fit on the High Street.

But if clothes don’t fit properly, particularly in a professional environment where first impressions are vital, this can impact on a person’s confidence, their self-esteem and the way they are viewed by colleagues and clients.  Both men and woman she spoke to agreed: if a jacket fitted acroos the chest/bust then often the sleeves were either too short or too long, or trousers that were just right on the hips were too tight or too loose at the waist. Mass produced clothes simply aren’t made to fit individuals.

Lynette, who has a first class degree in Product Development for the Clothing Industry from the London College of Fashion, knew there must be a different way for people to buy affordable, quality clothes that fit beautifully. With more than ten years experience working for computer companies, she decided to fuse her fashion and IT skills to find a solution.

Now Tailored For You uses the most up to date technology to make our clothes accessible and our prices affordable. Our state-of-the-art body scanner takes hundreds of accurate measurements to create individual patterns which are used to cut the cloth. The tailoring is carried out by skilled craftsmen and women, but automating the measuring and pattern process keeps our prices reasonable.
